Overcooked  is a story about eating your sorrows away, and how some bites are always just too hot. The concept was built around resilience and bravery, with a touch of moonlight and silence. In a way, to create the visual element of comfort. Maybe hot food is comforting, or maybe it burns the roof of your mouth.

We produced this set using three gelled strobes, and a small RGB panel to create the interior glow. All was composited together and built off multiple frames, with all of the fire and smoke hand-painted in post. The coloring was meant to evoke a warm atmosphere, amongst a colder world on the outside, much like a single lamp in a window, down the block from where you live.
