The Shadow District is an ongoing personal project. The series was initially meant to be a way of escaping the world, and being by myself at night. It’s the quietest, loneliest time of day, and something about that was beautiful to me. The project has since expanded into a never-ending obsession, to the point where I see more darkness than I do daylight. With each passing night, the things that call to me change, and I’ve found that it all ties to the heart.

Many of these pieces are also accompanied by journals of experiences I could gather from my life.

To preserve the lonely, ambient nature of these pieces, there are no humans in frame.
